Zen 2K27 Patch Tracker

NBA 2K27 Zen script status, September 16, 2026: is Fadeaway updated for the current patch?

Daily desk report on NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen scripts: the current Fadeaway build, how many builds have shipped, what changed today, and what to check first.

Every morning the same question lands in the inbox. Someone is about to load Rec, they flashed their Zen a week ago, and they want to know whether the script on the device is the one the seller is currently shipping.

Here is the answer for today, with the dates attached.

Disclosure first: VeraScripts makes Fadeaway, and this desk is run by VeraScripts. Competitor numbers below are quoted with the date they were checked.

The current build, and when it shipped

Fadeaway 2.2 (2K27) is the current public build. It released on 2026-09-02 and it is still the build the installer serves as of today, 2026-09-16.

I pulled the release registry that the browser flasher reads from before writing this, because the patch notes page is generated from that same registry rather than typed by hand. Nothing newer than 2.2 is sitting in it.

So if your Zen says 2.2, you are current. Nothing to do.

What 2.2 actually changed

The headline items from the 2.2 notes:

The settings layout is the same as 2.1, so a re-flash carries your tuning forward. Dual-bank saves pause on gameplay input and migrate earlier Fadeaway saves automatically.

Build count since the 2K27 launch

Eight public builds have shipped for Fadeaway, current 2.2. The chain visible in the notes runs V1.7, V1.8, V1.9, 2.0 BETA, 2.1 and 2.2, with 2.0 BETA and 2.1 landing on consecutive days at the end of August.

That is a fast stretch followed by a quiet one. Two weeks quiet, at the time of writing.

What changed since yesterday's report

Nothing on the build side. 2.2 on 2026-09-02 is still current, the version numbers in the product data are unchanged, and the price is still $50 one time.

One thing did move: the Discord review wall is at 66 written reviews, shown with handles and dates. The newest entries on it are dated Sep 15 and Sep 16, and most of them are people thanking a specific helper for getting their numbers dialled rather than reporting a broken build.

That pattern matters more than it looks. When a 2K patch breaks a script, the reviews channel fills with symptom reports, not thank-you notes.

About "the current 2K patch"

I am not going to print a 2K patch number or a patch date that I cannot verify from our own data, and this desk does not carry 2K's release feed. What I can tell you is what the script side looks like, and the script side has been stable since 2026-09-02.

If you want the honest test, it takes ninety seconds in a practice gym rather than in Rec.

Prices on the shelf today

Competitor figures below were checked on 2026-09-15. Fadeaway's figure is current as of today.

Script Price Update promise Published proof
Fadeaway (VeraScripts) $50 one time Weekly cadence, current build 2.2 from 2026-09-02 66 written Discord reviews with handles and dates
Peak by SkyGPC $60, regular $120 Free weekly updates for life, fix after every 2K patch 4.9 stars, 1,170 reviews, 14,000+ users
yew2K by yew.gg $64.99 Free weekly updates, same-day rebuild on patch 4.6 out of 5 from 1,300 reviews, 17,998 users
GreenLock 2K27 $49.99, regular $99.99 Free re-tunes after every patch, all cycle 4 named reviews, no aggregate count published
Ark $55, regular $75 Free updates for the 2K27 cycle, same-week after shooting patches None published

My take: the promise column is close to worthless on its own, because every seller on that list promises patch coverage and only a dated build history shows whether the promise was kept. That is why the Fadeaway row points at a release date instead of a slogan.

The one thing to check before your next Rec session

Check your timing assist numbers against your own full meter, offline, before you queue.

The measured defaults that shipped with 2.1 and carried into 2.2 are stand 600, move 613, run fades 885 right and 759 left, with global starting at 550ms and Auto Go To holding 2250ms. Those are starting points, not your numbers. Your jumper, your badges and your build move them.

The routine is short. Shoot standing still, then hold L2 and tap the dpad to nudge the value. The menu shows real milliseconds, and the readout stays on the Zen screen for the tune window.

Then leave the offline values alone. Online adds delay, so move GLOBAL only, up if you are early, down if you are late, between games. That is the whole point of having one global control instead of five.

For what it is worth, my own setup runs one bound face button through BUTTON REMAP rather than R3, because I kept clicking the stick during handles and did not want the extra input near it.

Where to get it, and where to check next time

Fadeaway is $50 one time for the 2K27 year, which covers the script, updates through the year, support and the guides. It installs from the browser: connect the Zen through the right-side programming port, pick a slot, flash the current 2.2 (2K27) build. Product page is at https://verascripts.com/fadeaway.

The build history lives at https://verascripts.com/blog/fadeaway-patch-notes and is generated from the installer's own registry, so it updates when a build ships rather than when someone remembers to write a post. Reviews are at https://verascripts.com/reviews.

If you want the fastest read on whether something broke today, the Discord is at https://discord.gg/MMJCbpaw6e, 5,900+ members, and the tuning channels move well before any status page does.

Frequently asked questions

Is Fadeaway updated for NBA 2K27 right now?

Yes. The current public build is Fadeaway 2.2 (2K27), released on 2026-09-02, and it is still the build the browser installer serves as of 2026-09-16. If your Zen is already on 2.2, there is nothing to re-flash.

How many Fadeaway builds have shipped for 2K27?

Eight public builds, with 2.2 as the current one. The visible chain in the patch notes runs V1.7, V1.8, V1.9, 2.0 BETA, 2.1 and 2.2, with several of those landing within days of each other at the end of August 2026.

Will re-flashing wipe my tuned values?

No. Fadeaway 2.2 keeps the same settings layout as 2.1, and the dual-bank save system migrates earlier Fadeaway saves forward automatically. The 2.2 notes say the same thing: re-flash and your tuning carries over.

What numbers should I start from?

The measured defaults are stand 600, move 613, run fades 885 right and 759 left, with global starting at 550ms and Auto Go To holding 2250ms. Tune the stand value to your own full meter offline using the L2 quick tune, then adjust only the global value for online play.

How much does Fadeaway cost, and is there a subscription?

It is $50 one time for the 2K27 year, covering the script, updates through the year, support and guides. There is no subscription for new customers. Vera+ at $99 one time unlocks the whole released library instead, including Fadeaway.

How does that compare to other 2K27 Zen scripts?

As of 2026-09-15, Peak by SkyGPC listed $60 (regular $120), yew2K listed $64.99, GreenLock 2K27 listed $49.99 (regular $99.99) and Ark listed $55 (regular $75). VeraScripts makes Fadeaway, so treat this as our own comparison and check the dated build history of anything you buy.
